Science 2nd grade - New Plants Unit Welcome to Wellstone Elementary's Science Classroom.  My name is Ms. Bunnell, my students like to call me; Ms. B.  Science is one of their specialist classes.  I meet with grades K-6 two to three times a year for six weeks at a time.  Units Our Science Classroom we will cover this year. BBC BBC Podcast ExploraDome The Travelers Foundation sponsored the ExploraDome visit to Wellstone Elementary.  The ExploraDome is a traveling planetarium presented by The Minnesota Planetarium. The programs presented were: Grades K-2.  Changes in the Sky:  We investigated the changes that occur in the sky in a 24 hour day, observed and described the changes in the position of the Sun, Moon, and stars. Grades 3-5.  Motions of the Sky:   We investigated how the rotation and revolution of Earth cause day, night seasons, and the year.  We observed the differences in the appearances of the sky due to those motions.  We also tracked the movements of the planets among the stars over a period of time.
