Welcome to 1st Grade at Wellstone Elementary!
In our first grade classrooms we are working hard to meet the standards!
Our first grade classrooms work together, by using the C.A.R.E.S. approach from the Responsive Classroom model, to teach students about the importance of building a strong community.
The curriculum we teach the students is based on the St. Paul Public School district wide model of Reader's Workshop, Writer's Workshop, and Everyday Math.
